All About Mrs. Schmoyer
Hi! My name is Jennifer Schmoyer and I am a proud graduate of Parkland High School. I attended Shippensburg University for my undergraduate teaching degree and I graduated in May 1994. That summer I was hired to teach second grade at Parkway Manor. I knew right away how fortunate I was to be hired to teach at a truly wonderful school! I received my Master’s Degree in Reading and my Reading Specialist Degree from Kutztown University in 1999.
Also in 1999, I got married to Jeremy Schmoyer. We have two children, Meredith and Hannah. Meredith is almost 12 and Hannah is almost 7. Meredith will be in sixth grade at Springhouse Middle School this year and Hannah will be in second grade here at Parkway Manor. We also have a pet fish which Meredith won 6 years ago at a local fair.
I love teaching! I always dreamed about being a teacher in the Parkland School District. My older sister teaches at Orefield Middle School and my older brother works with students at the University of Rhode Island.
I have many favorite things! Scrapbooking, Starbucks, beach vacations and New York City are some of the things that make my “favorites” list! When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, traveling and scrapbooking.
I am especially excited to start school this year because after 22 years in second grade, I am now a fourth grade teacher! I have big plans for this year!
